Summary
They probably should have evacuated.
The news had been warning them for days, plastering their television screens with the radar image of a swirling kaleidoscope of green and yellow and red. It was a strangely cheerful-looking representation of the decidedly unfriendly hurricane churning over the Atlantic; with every passing day it looked a little angrier, a little stronger, its focus intensifying until it was glaring directly at the town of Horseshoe Bay.
Get out, the authorities and their neighbors and all logical reason said. Get out while you still can.

Summary
It’s sometime past two in the morning, the quarter-moon a sliver in the sky, when Ace gives up on attempting to sleep and slips out of Amanda’s bed and through her front door, tugging on his sweater as he goes.
The streetlights in Ocean Edge are few and far between, but it’s not completely dark, the occasional patches of light creating a deep blue-black hue everywhere. It’s enough light that he can see, perched on an overturned crate beneath a sign that reads Manager, the hero of Horseshoe Bay herself.
A moment late at night. Post-2x13.

Summary
It’s as if there’s nothing left except for their voices ringing out into the auditorium, and Luke’s face— so close to hers it almost hurts— and that incessant tugging in her chest that’s so addictively inviting, Julie can’t bring herself to resist it any longer. So she doesn’t.

Summary
After the whirlwind her life has been since the boys showed up it’s not that surprising that Julie would be a little tired. But is it normal that she’s more exhausted than she’s ever been? With Nick acting weird, Alex and Reggie both wrapped up in their own problems and her relationship with Luke still a big question mark she has her work cut out for her if she’s looking to sit back and relax.
Basically my ideas and speculation about what season 2 might hold, or at least some of the things I would like to see.
All lyrics included are written by me unless I specifically state otherwise.

Summary
Sure, the special days are a unique sort of agony, but the real heartbreak lies in all the days in between.
The insignificant ones. The moments that don’t matter. Early mornings and late nights, afternoons bent over homework and days when Dad’s too busy picking Carlos up from soccer practice to remember Julie’s yearbook club is running late. All the empty moments, now filled with nothing at all... when before, they wouldn’t have been remarkable, but they would have included her. Every time Julie looks up, a joke on her lips or an instinct to turn towards a familiar presence... she’s never there.
The days that shouldn’t matter are the ones that hurt the most.
(Julie grieves, but she doesn't have to do it alone.)

Summary
But it’s not just about that, Alex wants to scream. Their parents don’t understand them, sure, but it’s not in the same way Alex’s parents will never understand him. It’s not just typical teenage angst. It’s gay teenage angst. It’s Alex’s teenage angst.
On Alex, growing up gay in the 90s, representation, and coming clean.

Summary
He couldn’t even focus on music, which was supposed to be the one thing that he could lose himself in.
His fingers moved automatically, his hands gliding along the strings of his bass like they always did, but his mind was entirely elsewhere. All he saw was the stupid bike shack, the stamp on his wrist, Alex’s heartbroken expression when he and Willie had their strange not-a-break-up, the jolts shocking through his friends, even his parents arguing, which somehow feels both so long ago and still so fresh. Most of all, it’s the giant, looming, vague end that has no shape but he knows is coming.
(AKA: Reggie has abandonment issues and is positive that everything will inevitably be taken away from him.

Summary
The cemetery is practically empty. The afternoon sun casts everything in a low golden shadow as she wanders lot after lot, the quiet expanse seemingly stretching on forever.
Julie reads each gravestone she passes, learning the faceless names of people gone by, wondering whether their ghosts are stuck on this side, trapped by some unfinished business.
She sucks in a breath, smoothing the nonexistent wrinkles in her dress.
She’s found it -- him.
Luke Patterson. Friend. Son. 1978-1995.-
