Summary
The urge to tease her grows inside Iroha, a strange feeling for her who stays on the sidelines, never getting too close to people even with Mami and Roka. It isn’t appropriate, but when Kaguya who loves nothing more than to make a fuss and run around is so shy, so fragile, she wants to play with her… But Iroha doesn’t do this. Instead she smiles as nicely as she can, hoping it’s not weird and tells her what parents tell their kids. (Kaguya isn’t her child, but it’s close enough. Probably.)
“When you meet someone you love very much, you’ll want to kiss them.”
That should be enough for the message to get across–
“Then can I kiss you?”

When Asuka comes back to Uji after a few years abroad, Kaori is determined to get back into her life. Haruka is now dating Kaori and isn't sure this is such a good idea.
"Kaori saved all those clippings because she loves you. She messages you and you never answer. Just because you're upset about your mom, doesn't mean you have to take it out on Kaori!"
Kaori can see Haruka's knuckles turning white, from the tightness she's gripping onto Asuka's forearm. Asuka, however, looks calmer by the second, as if whatever desperation she had to leave is being replaced by a calm, cool exterior, a mask of ice. She looks past Haruka, in Kaori's general direction, before meeting Haruka's eyes again. "Oh, still jealous?"
