Betas, compared to the other roles within the social dynamic, the alphas and omegas, are seen as the most "normal" or ordinary.
Sehun has always been a beta, the only beta in a pack full of alphas, beyond that affection he didn't fulfill any role, no one really wanted him beyond a family affection, that didn't bother him, he had already assimilated that without an attractive scent like an omega or alpha no pack mate would really feel attracted to him. But little by little he realizes a sudden desire on the part of some alphas.
