Hinges scream, piercing and shrill and slow as the closest door swings open, haunted. It comes to a stop by the wall. Waiting. Oscar almost wishes it would swing back and knock him out, concuss him, leave him so amnesiac that he’ll never have to remember any of his bad ideas. Lando just takes him in, gaze slipping stealthily from his McLaren issue shoes to the damp polo to the messed up edges of his hair, pushed back from his forehead in a frenzy. He pauses, then, head tilting. Face painfully neutral.
Oscar hates it. A deer in headlights, the oncoming car speeding and speeding and in that instant, he knows it won’t swerve.
“Pervert,” he spits. Snarl twisting his features ugly - although, nothing ever looks hideous on Lando - and nails dig into the sofa until it creaks.
He’ll splatter along the road, red and mangled and venison for Lando.

“I, uh, I don’t—don’t know,” Lando huffs out. He sounds irritated. Everything was fine a moment ago, opening up Oscar with the same care and enthusiasm he always has. They touched each other like it was their first time all over again, starved for one another.
He shuffles and turns to view Lando. He can’t stand waiting, not knowing what’s happening.
There he finds Lando sitting back on his calves, hands splayed on his thighs, twitching in the most uncertain manner. As eyes shift further in, he spots the problem.
