There's this... silly muggle theory.
In any romantic relationship no matter how perfect or healthy, you only get eighty percent of what you want and need. The problem for some, is that when you do encounter that last twenty percent you're not getting; it becomes incredibly tempting and the unwise man may leave that eighty percent thinking they're about to get a hundred only to be left with twenty.
But sometimes, it can go the other way around. Sometimes you'll end up leaving twenty and end up with eighty.
In seventh year James left Severus for Lily.
Best choice he could have ever made. It never would have worked out. Besides, he and Lily are married now, she's pregnant with his soon to be child and Severus...

Summary
“Alpha,” Severus whimpers, and the growl of approval from James causes more wetness to leak from him. Severus wants to submit, he needs to submit, he knows he does. But if James has it his way, he’d already be balls deep inside of Severus’ with his teeth latched onto his neck. Severus is his Omega, that’s how it’s supposed to be. That doesn’t mean that Severus makes it easy for his Alpha or the rest of the pack. He’s never been an easy Omega which is precisely how he’s managed to hold the Marauders' attention for all these years as they’d engaged in the traditional dance of courtship: stalking him, hounding him, poking and probing him as they forcibly pried each and every one of Severus’ tightly guarded secrets out from under him. It had been exquisite.

His village has always held the god of snakes in a fervent reverence, despite the traders from the outside whispering about an oni out of earshot of his fellow townspeople. The dense, damp forests that surround their home would be rife with deadly vipers and other such creatures if it was not for the protection of the god of snakes, the elders say. And so with the year of the snake upon them, it is tradition to offer their god a sacrifice.

Summary
The Metkayina find themselves in the forest seeking the aid of Toruk Makto after their home was destroyed by the Sky People invasion of the moon of Pandora. Where once upon a time the Sully's must learn the way of water, here, the Metkayina must learn the way of the forest. Come to love it, and all the people that call it home. Danger lurks around every corner, and the Sky People aren't done with just destroying the Metkayina. They still have one prey in mind that they'll hunt endlessly. And do anything and everything to get at him and those he loves.
