Summary
Mostly, Nick had a busy life. And he wanted it that way most of the time. Between practicing, rehearsing, working, drinking, listening to music, seeing his family, getting on public transport, sleeping with girls and getting something to eat he barely had any time to think. Mostly he wanted not to be thinking, not about anything in particular, just in general. He would have rather had more time in his day practicing guitar than dealing with other people's problems, but he was pretty happy with the ratio as it was.
