The enormity of this is overwhelming. Sometimes Will fixes him with a stare that rattles him. It’s a look that pierces through the marrow of his bones and he is bewitched by it. A shiver like ice water, like hell fire, takes him and he is burnt through and through.
It’s like he had been living in the dark for a long, long time. Every sense finely tuned to the slightest noise; the smallest movement in the shadows.
