When Robb was 8 years old, his father went to war. It wasn’t the first time; Robb had heard the stories of the war that happened when he was little, and he could see the physical proof of it in the existence of his half-brother Jon. The Lord of the Iron Islands apparently rebelled against King Robert, and Ned had been called to put him in his place. Robb suspected his father was called for the job in particular because of the mark that had appeared on his arm about a year earlier, showing a picture of a kraken. Though there was no name there yet, Balon Greyjoy had only one daughter, so it would make the most sense if it was her. It had been quite a significant moment for him, and Sansa had been excited at the idea of him marrying a noble who was also his soulmate – not everyone was so lucky – but the thought of marrying this girl named Yara didn’t seem all that appealing. Besides, he could hardly marry the daughter of a traitor, could he?

Professor Yana opens the fobwatch of his own accord, and his disease forces his body to regenerate. Realising that the attempt to build his ship is useless, the Master uses an emergency vortex manipulator to lock onto the one TARDIS in the entirety of timespace that isn’t in the Gallifrey timelock – the Doctor’s.
To his delight, the Doctor himself has put a chameleon arch on, and is currently an English teacher in a stuffy 1910s boarding school called Dr. John Smith.
With an opportunity like that, the Master can’t help but fuck with him.

Jon looses his humanity and goes back to fix things, totally unrecognizable, with new instincts, and the same love for Martin. Meanwhile everyone else is questioning what the hell is up with this monster fawning over Martin.
Edit: Please see the note. I am aware of Jons ability to nod and type and such. I actually am paid to communicate with non verbal people. This story is built on the idea of no one recognizing Jon. If he tells them "hey, I'm Jon!" then the story would be like two chapters long. You can stop telling me every chapter that they can communicate. I know. I know the same way Agatha Christie knows who done it and then doesn't tell you till the end. Because if you solve the problem of the story the story ends.
