Summary
They've been best friends forever. All Frank ever wanted was for Gerard to conquer his insecurities and get the recognition, praise and attention he deserved. All Gerard ever wanted, was Frank.
When a last-minute trip right before their first year of college doesn't quite go as planned, Frank and Gerard's friendship starts to unravel. As they grow up and battle with careers, relationships and considerable trauma, it seems that things can only ever get worse when they've been ignoring one simple thing for more than a decade -- that they've been in love ever since the start.
[Or: the one where Gerard writes a screenplay, Frank's band goes double-platinum, and no matter how bad things between them get, they can't quite seem to stay apart.]

Summary
This is a prequel to ‘love letters from the western front.’ Which is a collection of love letters I wrote between Frank and Gerard, separated by WW1.
You can find those in my other works, but you can also follow this story without reading those first. This is the story of how they fell in love, at a time when being gay was illegal. Separated by class, and eventually war.
Gerard is the son of a Lord. Frank is the son of the gardener. Best friends as children and inseparable. As they grow, so do their feelings for one another.

Summary
For 2 years, the house next door sat empty, and Gerard liked it that way. Quiet evenings, reasonable bedtimes, nobody on the other side of the shared wall in his little slice of heaven in Belleville.
Then Frank Iero moved in, some punk kid seemingly determined to make Gerard's life as difficult as possible, and that peace was destroyed. The walls are thin, Frank is loud, and now Gerard is forced to go back over there time and time again to complain, and he's starting to think the brat is just pushing him for a reaction.
