You were supposed to leave Jackson at dawn with Joel and Ellie, and Joel must’ve slept in. Panic set in as you threw your arms across the bed, reaching for Joel, only to find the sheets cold and empty.
Your eyes finally ripped open and you were indeed alone.

Set in an alternate timeline where Joel isn't forced to kill the fireflies and therefore there is no reason for the emotional damage of the second game to occur! I just want my dad/daughter duo to be happy!!
