Summary
In which Luffy unknowingly becomes the center of Zoro and Sanji's overprotective care. As the trio explores a bustling port town, the two first mates instinctively shield, feed, and indulge their captain at every turn—buying him snacks, preventing accidents, and ensuring his every whim is met. Their actions don’t go unnoticed, even catching the bewildered attention of nearby marines who can’t believe the infamous pirate captain is being doted on like a child. Despite their constant bickering and denial, Zoro and Sanji fall naturally into the roles of Luffy’s reluctant yet devoted guardians, proving that spoiling their captain isn’t a conscious choice—it’s simply their way of showing love.

Summary
Zoro scoffs and moves his captain closer.
“Go get your own.”
Chopper gapes wordlessly. All the rest of Nami’s nakama have a similar expression on their faces, something between stupefied and offended—save Robin, who presses a secret smile behind her hand, and Jimbei, whose rumbling chuckle is just barely audible over the sound of the sea.
Nami—who knows very well what Zoro looks like when he’s trying to get a rise out of someone, who knows very well that she has a claim on Luffy that only a handful of other people in the world share, one that can never be broken or stolen or changed—feels herself bristle, too.
“HE IS OUR OWN!” the majority of one of the most infamous pirate crews in the New World shriek like schoolchildren.

Summary
When Zoro dreamed, it wasn’t of Mihawk anymore.
He dreamed of a vast, crumbling shrine. Its columns were scarred with age, the stone cracked and worn smooth by centuries of storms. Vines wove through the gaps in the walls, their green tendrils creeping like veins of life against the decay. The air was heavy with the scent of iron, salt, and earth—a mix of blood, the sea, and the primordial. The floor was slick with moss, a carpet of damp green that muffled his steps as he approached the shrine’s heart.
It was a ruin of reverence, a forgotten place where mortals once came to beg for miracles, to offer sacrifices. Zoro wasn’t sure what they had prayed for, but as he walked closer, he felt the weight of their desperation hanging in the air like smoke.
At the center of the shrine stood Luffy.
Gods and mortals and the almost-divine, as seen through Zoro.

Summary
When Sanji bled for Luffy, it was never enough.
It didn’t matter how many times he stood in front of him, fists up, ready to defend him from enemies who didn’t deserve to touch him. It didn’t matter how many bruises he earned or how many bones he felt shatter under the force of his own determination. Every blow he landed, every fight he ended, felt like a drop in an endless ocean, a desperate attempt to protect someone who seemed determined to walk into danger with open arms.
It didn’t matter how many meals he cooked, pouring every ounce of care and skill into each dish, layering flavors and textures like prayers. Each plate was a silent declaration, a tangible reminder that no matter what chaos surrounded them, there would always be something warm waiting for Luffy. Sanji’s hands moved on instinct, cutting and stirring and plating with a reverence he didn’t dare name. And still, it never felt like enough.
Sanji and contemplations of what it means to love Luffy.
