Yes, alright, it's one of THOSE fics, loves. (As if North and South didn't have enough of them, I’ve gone and written another one.) Here we have the forced marriage trope but without all the misunderstandings and angst and torture over married "activities". Like my friend DaisyNinjaGirl (Whose similarly inspired story is wonderful. Please read it.) I wanted to answer the question 'What if John and Margaret both decided to be honest and open and just try, for the love of all that's holy, to actually get along...all while properly shagging like normal people?' And here we are.
This is for anyone who's ever come home from a bloody long day and just wanted a smutty, happy, North and South story.
PS. This is already complete. (Yes...I wrote all 20 chapters...aren’t I clever?) So Happy Christmas, loves. I hope you enjoy it!

Two weeks prior to Margaret Hale’s arrival in Milton, John Thornton would have told anyone that he didn’t bend to another person’s wishes. His opinions were resolutely his, and nothing anyone said or did could sway him. He made no effort to impress people, despite the efforts made to impress him. John Thornton had been his own person his whole life, and nothing anyone could say would change that.
He hadn’t bet on Margaret Hale, though, or the way she could make him completely forget the loyalty he had to himself.
