Summary
Gyuvin hasn't seen Ricky in months. When his friends ask, he'll lie and say he doesn't know how long it's been. But really, he's been holding his breath for five months and twenty-three days.

Summary
Gyuvin has to pretend anticipation isn't eating at him when Ricky gets up to retrieve the gift from his suitcase. His heart beats in the back of his throat, but he tries to sit patiently.
“Close your eyes.” Ricky says. The words are soft, almost lost in between where he steps away from the suitcase and Gyuvin sits on the bed.
Gyuvin's eyes fall shut, the eager feeling in his hands only growing.
“Okay,” Ricky says. He sounds nervous, but just as excited as Gyuvin feels. “You can look.”

Summary
Gyuvin doesn't look up, but he can imagine how pretty Ricky looks right now. How pretty he looks all the time, speaking so gently like his words aren't suffocating Gyuvin.
Ricky squeezes his hand again and Gyuvin nods against his shoulder. "Sorry for assuming."
"Don't be sorry, stupid." Ricky mumbles, detaching his hand from Gyuvin's just to hold it out again, pinky extended. "I missed you. I don't want to be anywhere else. Promise."
Gyuvin links their pinkies, mouth pulling into a smile. The pads of their thumbs press together and Gyuvin wants to lean forward and seal it with a kiss. He lets go instead, stepping away from Ricky. He needs to put space between them, take a deep breath. Do something to feel less dizzy.

Summary
California is always paired with a weird sort of longing, like something is missing despite it being everything he's ever wanted. It’s different this time. He knows why it's different this time, but Jo can't bring himself to admit it.
“I'm scared.” Jo says softly. He's scared of this house, scared of how he feels for Yuma. His head is spinning and he kind of wants to throw up.
“Okay.” Yuma nods. “When has being scared ever meant being incapable?”

Yuma chooses not to answer. Fuma sends him enough weird looks when they’re all together, he doesn’t need Maki and Harua whispering about it too. He doesn’t even like Jo, he’s just… weirdly fascinated.
“Like you are with the stars?” Fuma had asked when Yuma told him the same thing, making his face flush, hot and uncomfortable. “Don’t you want to know Jo like you know the planets?”
