"Dear James," Sirius begins skimming over the beginning paragraph, "I am writing this to… in short you have engulfed my thoughts and dreams? What?" Sirius is gazing wide eyed at the letter, and his exclamation pulls James out of whatever trance he was in.
"Oh my fucking God! Sirius! Don’t read it out loud!"
"I cannot go a day without noticing the way your eyes crinkle when you smile," Sirius makes a fake gagging noise, "or the cute but ever so slight dimple that appears when you do? " Sirius finishes in disbelief.
"It's not only that, though," Remus pipes in, reading over Sirius' shoulder. "They even want you to transfer schools so they don't have to look at you anymore, how romantic," he adds with a snicker.
"They must be seriously down bad to not want to look at you anymore Prongs," Peter comments, causing both Remus and Sirius to choke on a laugh, all while James is regretting his decision to choose the train compartment he did in first year.

The sharp wind whistled in his ears. James Potter's perfect smile shining through the dark shadows of the night.
"Oh baby black, what's this?" His gentle touch grazed the skin of Regulus' forearm; the dark mark squirming under the touch. A disapproving tut comes out of his mouth. "I thought we showed you better." He continued, a teasing tone to his voice.
"We're teenagers James, things change. We both know that by now don't we? I'd hope so, seeing as the girl you were once so hopelessly in love with is over there snogging Macdonald." Regulus wanted so desperately to taunt James Potter. He wanted to have his words carve themselves a place inside his mind. He wanted him to never be able to think of anything else but his voice, the sharp corners to his words. He craved James, and he hated him for it. He wanted to make James as miserable as he makes him.
