She freezes when her back hits the wall, but Jing Yuan does not advance further, just hovers outside her study, forehead creasing as she takes in Ren’s wide eyes. “Ren,” she murmurs gently, and she feels sick, her heart thunders madly in her ears, and she couldn’t move if she tried, “what do you remember of me?”

Summary
It’s not the first time Toru has made her feel something. Toru has made her feel a lot of things; disgust, annoyance- sometimes anger, though it’s rarer than most would reasonably believe, and sometimes joy, which is a lot more common than most would reasonably believe.
But sometimes, something that feels suspiciously like overwhelming fondness creeps into her chest and squeezes her lungs, latches on to her heart and doesn’t let go until she aches with it. Sometimes Toru smiles and her head spins until she’s dizzy and lost somewhere in a daydream she’s never been ready to admit to, or think about further once she’s caught herself in the act.
Of course, now isn’t the time to deal with that, Hajime thinks- and whether that’s some textbook emotional deflection or the actual smart choice to make in that situation, is a thought to reflect on much later.

From somewhere across the court, she could hear Tsukishima’s long suffering sigh, followed by a series of lazy footsteps in her direction. Kageyama sat up to meet her, palms braced on the floor. “Hinata. For some reason, another human being has developed feelings for you. I have no idea what she sees in you.” Tsukishima kicked the volleyball back toward her disinterestedly. “But it’s really damn obvious- at least, to anyone who doesn’t have the cognitive capabilities of a gnat.”
Kageyama decided not to dwell on the word ‘cognitive.’

Summary
Hawks is a pro hero. At least, she's supposed to be.
But she doesn't think pro heroes sleep around with a villain in their limited free time. And if they do, they certainly don't catch feelings.
Hawks is failing miserably in both of these regards.

Edith Ann Kaspbrak was a Virgo, a germaphobe, never broke a bone- except for the time that she did- and fucking hated it when Richie smoked. She had two fanny packs, one for her inhaler and her medicine, and one for her bifocals and her emergency backup inhaler, and probably would have had the entire CDC memorized verbatim had the internet been accessible when they were kids. She was a walking first aid kit, which definitely saved their asses many times as kids, but Richie can’t really remember why. She was paranoid, defensive, and permanently fed up with every single thing Richie Tozier had ever said or done.
“Eddie Spaghetti,” Richie whispers.
