Liz’s hair still curled in the same way. Her soft freckles, her expressive face, her eyelashes, it was all the same, but it wasn’t. Elle hadn’t seen her in years and years, and suddenly she was filled with a hot jealousy at everyone who had been there by her former best friend’s side as she lived her life and became somehow even more confident than she had been. Liz’s rings, her loose vest, her tie, the pin on her collar reading ‘butch’, her boots, it was all so effortlessly cool, so Liz, that it made Elle’s heart hurt, the feelings of missing her resurfacing in a sharp and overwhelming way.

“You’re staring.” Liz says.
Elle realizes she is, and blinks rapidly before regaining her composure and smiling winningly.
“Sorry, I don’t mean to be rude. It’s just that—there aren’t really girls like you in LA.”Elle notes, belatedly, that this might sound rude anyways. Liz doesn’t seem all that offended though, she almost looks amused as she leans towards Elle and tilts her head,
“Girls like me?”
Girls like you, Elle wants to say, girls who are pretty like boys, with wide grins and dimples and eyelashes like oh my god.

Summary
A series of one shots that will be (mostly) taking place during Elle and Liz's senior year.
Elle Woods didn't have to worry about deciding between Dustin and Miles anymore. Since Miles ended up getting back together with Shannon after committing to the university she was currently attending. Elle ended up dating Dustin for a few months before they both decided they enjoyed being friends more than partners. Which wasn't all bad considering Elle could tell her LA best friend and the Seattle boy seemed to have a longing to explore their potential feelings for each other.
Liz on the other hand spent a wonderful spring semester with Kimberly. But when the decision was made that she would go to a college across the country, their relationship grew strained. Eventually they both decided it would be best to end things halfway through the summer before Liz's senior year.
Without the company of their respective partners, Liz and Elle found themselves spending a lot of time together. They weren't expecting for that time to foster feelings that went beyond friendship.
