Summary
“Ben,” she whimpered against him, and he hummed and kissed her again, so she was emboldened to ask, “Do you want to?” and to roll her hips against his.
A deep growl rumbled somewhere in his chest, and she hooked her thumbs in her waistband, ready to shimmy out of her pants, but he said, “We shouldn’t,” and she could’ve asked why, but she didn’t want to hear the answer.
----------
Ben rescues his coworker Rey from her cabin in a blizzard, and she can’t forgive him for it.

Summary
He points angrily to the badge embroidered on his chest. “I’m with the Fire Department!”
“Okay, and? Is there a fucking fire?”
“There’s an open hydrant,” Ben says, gesturing with the wrench again. Apparently the little fucks think that’s funny too.
“There’s been an open hydrant all morning,” the girl says, around a dripping spoonful of bright-orange helado. “So why’s it an emergency now?”
Ben's come to close an open hydrant. The kids playing in it don't want him to, and a pretty girl on the street is backing them up. [Originally written for twitter.]
