Not a chance. (If anything, her heart was racing because Kita was so cheerful and unpredictable it scared her.)
Or; Hitori can't seem to realize her own feelings, no matter how many times it's smacked in her face.

Hitori has everything she's ever wanted, despite only having half the social skills of a normal average person her age. She's attending college, plays in a band that's semi-popular, and can actually manage to (somewhat) function in everyday-to-day life. It's the biggest dream come true for her highschooler self.
There's one dream that hasn't come true yet, however. When she pictures that dream, all she can think about is a pair of emerald, green eyes gleaming warmly at her.
Or; Hitori is a little (a lot) hopeless when it comes to telling Kita how she feels about her until Kita shows her herself.

With a heavy, chopped breath of air, she finally wheezed out the final petal. Blood encased the edges, and she fought the ugly wave of tears that threatened to overtake her emotions. Kronii would shove the crinkled, bloody petals into her pocket and ignore the horrible aching in her chest- both physical and emotional. She always was too proud to admit she was suffering to anyone.
Kronii could've never ever thought that falling in love with someone- someone who couldn't possibly feel the same, would be so incredibly painful. The burning in her throat, and the gross tightening whenever she made eye contact with the cause of her problem--it was all too much. Yet, she couldn't fault them, for they made her feel so very real. Mumei was the living embodiment of fun and laughter. Tough luck, she supposed.
Or, feelings never came easily for Kronii, especially when all she could do was cough up gross flower petals and all.
