Summary
Keith's lived in Arizona his whole life. His father always told him the desert wasn't what it seemed, but its been 20 years since he died and Keith still sees the same old Mojave. Sand and saguaro and the occasional yip of coyotes. Even rarer the howls of Mexican wolves in dwindling numbers.
But that's all just desert babble.

Summary
It started at a drive-in in the 1980s.
This isn’t a story about the immaculate conception that happens in the backseats of high school boys’ cars, nor is it the origin story for a New Wave-fueled cocaine addiction. That would be interesting. Unfortunately, this is a love story; a love story about the frontman of Quantum Queef, a punk band, and a boy who rides a red motorcycle.
Also, they fight aliens.

Summary
Death caught Keith quickly. So quickly, in fact, that he hadn’t even realized what had happened to him until he’d woken to the sound of police sirens and the sight of his body being carted away in a black body bag. There had to be some sick cosmic joke in there somewhere about how his life had been ended nearly exactly when he’d finally decided to start living. Even more sickly comical about the whole ordeal was that he was now stuck forever at the age of 23 in a hand cut crop top that read:

Corporate Rock WhoresHe was certain there was some sort of symbolism to be found in the Nirvana shirt that life, death and every other philosophical concept in between just could not resist. Maybe if he wasn’t dead, he would have even found the humor. Be that as it may, he found himself on the business end of a panic attack. At least, as much of a panic attack as he could have when he didn’t even need to breathe anymore.
