Summary
Cliff watches him squeeze the phone between his cheek and shoulder, lifting the jersey over his head as he continues to talk, a bit distracted now by the multitasking.
“And was good practice, you know, for when I am your husband."
Immediately, the locker room goes dead silent. And so does Rozanov, in fact.
In which Ilya accidentally calls himself Shane's future husband in the middle of the Bears locker room. Worse still, they're not even dating yet.

Summary
Shane has never questioned how much Ilya loves him.
What he questions is whether Ilya understands what love asks of him.
After months of thoughtless habits, crossed boundaries, and conversations left unfinished, the cracks in their long-distance relationship become impossible to ignore. Neither of them wants to lose what they've built. Neither of them really knows how to stop hurting the other.
A story about emotional intimacy, learning to communicate, and discovering that love isn't just something you feel. It's something you practice.

Summary
Sometimes the worst fights happen on the days you need each other most.
Or, Shane's first game against Montreal goes about as well as expected. The argument with Ilya beforehand definitely doesn't help.

“Listen, Ilya is-“
Shane doesn’t hear anything else. The crowd around them dissolves into white noise. He wants to smack Ilya’s name out of Sasha’s mouth.
“Mine,” Shane snaps, finishing Sasha’s sentence for him. “Ilya is mine.”
