Summary
It’s quiet and humid, though the wind is blowing a little, so it isn’t all bad. There are birds chirping somewhere nearby, probably in the tree beside Tori’s neighbour’s place, and Jade can faintly hear someone else starting their car from probably half a block away. She unlocks her car, listens as Tori gets in first.
She can’t help but stand there for a second, peering out into the road and up at the sky, taking a second to recollect herself. Jade never particularly has been overly interested in things like this. Mundane bullshit, or whatever. But it’s different with Tori, to the point that Jade thinks she’d very much so like to stay in this exact moment forever.
(or, an early moring coffee excursion leads to a very in-character confession)
