Eijun wants to drop hints that he likes Miyuki before confessing. Miyuki is blissfully unaware.
First, he must drop hints. Miyuki is pretty observant, so that shouldn’t be hard, right? Then, he must feel out Miyuki’s reactions to all of this. If Miyuki seems receptive, then he’ll go in with the final step: the actual confession. And then, Miyuki will be Eijun’s boyfriend and catch for him whenever he asks because that’s what a good boyfriend does!
It’s a foolproof plan, really.

There was still an uneasy tension filling the air, but all of a sudden Sawamura nonchalantly spoke. “Do you guys wanna know?”
That was when Sanae noticed another peculiar thing: Haruno, Kanemaru, and even Furuya, simultaneously took a slightly surprised gander towards Sawamura.
“You guys were talking about Miyuki-senpai’s lover, right?” The pitcher grinned enigmatically, piquing the girls’ interest once again. Whatever tension that previously existed immediately melted. “Do you want this Sawamura Eijun to tell you?”
Apparently, Miyuki Kazuya has a secret lover, Sawamura Eijun has gotten laid, and the whole school tries to connect the dots.
