A pair of warm hands cradle his cheeks, and Naib feels himself lean into their touch without any further thought.
The two of them remain motionless for a couple of heartbeats, revelling in this silent moment, before Norton leans in to close the distance between them. It’s merely a peck on the lips, short and simple — yet, it’s done with so much gentleness and care, and even if they’ve done this countless times, Naib still feels butterflies dancing in his stomach at the love in his partner’s actions.

I love you all…I hope we’ll be able to stay together forever. Maybe, one day, we’ll be able to look up at them with each other as something more than friends.
A few moments pass before Ichika realises that it’s uncomfortably quiet, and that she’s getting the prickly feeling that she’s being stared at. Looking back down, she’s greeted by three faces of disbelief, ranging with different intensities. The thing that bewilders Ichika even more is the redness on their faces.

Summary
As Shiho lathers the cream over her fingertips, she realises that her left hand is unusually tense, and as she tries to stretch out her fingers, it takes more effort than it would require usually.
Ichika must’ve noticed Shiho’s struggles — wordlessly, the black-haired girl gently takes Shiho’s left hand, and starts to massage it with her own hands, applying pressure into both Shiho’s palm and fingers. The two girls sit at the desk, a comfortable quietness around them.
This feels nice…
Then, Ichika brings Shiho’s hand up to her mouth, kisses the tips of her fingers, and Shiho’s brain promptly short circuits.

Summary
The wind lifts the cranes up from the pond, and they swirl up into the sky. Some cranes become unfolded, revealing the secrets hidden in them. Saki catches glimpses of music scores, with multicoloured circles and handwritten notes on them.
There’s also cranes folded from her school notes, as well as some assessments — she embarrassingly recognises the first assessment she’d ever had, where she barely scraped by with a pass.
The wind blows against her face, causing her hair to fly wildly in the air, and Saki grins widely, her heart bursting with elation. In just a year, she’s been able to do so much, and she’s had so, so much fun. Her body feels light and giddy with joy, and even as hair strands poke at her eye, she brushes them away, a bright, wide smile on her face.
She’s free.

The girl who never gave up even if she wasn’t as gifted as others, even though knight training left her battered and littered her pale skin with countless bruises. The girl who pushed herself harder solely to keep up with Shiho.
The girl who, five years ago, upon hearing that the princess had gone missing, had jumped into action to search for her, only to never come back and be presumed dead.
The girl who was once so familiar to her now stands before her like a stranger.

Finally, the bartender seemed a bit taken aback for once, but it didn’t make her falter one bit. Instead, she only grinned more, not backing down from a more challenging client at her bar. It was a chance she wasn’t willing to so easily pass up, not from someone as alluring as the singer.
“Maybe not,” Bourbon hummed, picking up a glass before filling it up with ice, never breaking eye contact once. “Would you allow me the chance to get to?”
“Depends.”
“On what?”
