Hawkins | Summer of 1990
Mike projects his feelings through a dungeons and dragons character he’s helping Will write named “Melchor”, a fallen Paladin, who also happens to be a peeping tom obsessed with a Cleric.
What begins as harmless watching and roleplay quickly turns into voyeurism: binoculars aimed at Will’s bedroom window, stolen NSFW sketches, and dangerously intimate D&D roleplay that reveals far more about Will and Mike's desires/insecurities than they're prepared for.
As Mike’s shame surrounding his sexuality deepens, his fixation on Will begins to consume them both—until the voyeur meets his perfect match: an exhibitionist who might enjoy being watched just as much.

Summary
The walkie at Will’s hip crackled, as if Mike felt his ears burning. “Will,” he said, voice low.
Will unhooked the radio from his belt. Nervous energy coursed through him, and he took a deep breath before answering. “Yeah?”
“You okay down there?”
“I’m good. You?”
“Me too.” Then, a little bashful: “I got you something.”
Will’s face hurt from trying not to smile like an idiot. “Really?”
“Guys,” Lucas cut in, exasperated. “Get your own channel if you’re going to flirt.”
Mike confesses his love in subtle ways at the end of the world. It takes a minute for Will to catch up.

“Shut up,” Mike scoffed. Will could picture the pinkish tint to Mike’s cheek’s deepening. “Just saying, Dustin, Lucas, and Max are all staying with me at my parents’ house. A sleepover, like old times. It wouldn’t be the same without you.”
“Carlton-”
Mike cut Will off, “that son of a bitch can go fuck himself for all I care,” he spat. Then softened his tone, “Come to Hawkins alone.”
“He’s my boyfriend, Mike, I can’t exactly-”
