He knew he was getting quieter, that he was less present in the videos. Charlie knew with frightful self-reflections he was less than what he used to be. With every second he found himself unable to talk, it got harder to find his rhythm, the pace like he had before. Jokes fell flat, and the bits he tried to start worked as successfully as a car without wheels.
