Summary
On a hot summer night by the sea, Luka and Ivan find themselves building ephemeralities.
A sandcastle collapses, “treasures” are stolen, and Ivan holds on too tightly. Luka, against all reason, lets him.
College parties were never supposed to feel like this.

Summary
Drowning is alone; sinking together is a choice.
Ivan is very well versed in the act of wanting. Having, however, is another concept entirely.

Summary
The clock has always been ticking for Luka, who has been hospitalised for as long as he can remember. But when Hyun-Woo becomes his roommate after a rock climbing accident, Luka meets Hyuna, and for the first time, he gets a taste of what it is like to live as though his heart is not real. He clings to that feeling, because letting go feels impossible. However, he soon is made to learn what it means to love without time, without permanence; to die slowly, love selfishly, and make art out of what is left, giving what little he has like it is everything.

Summary
It wasn’t Ivan’s idea. Well, not really. He’d just suggested they do something normal for once. Something stupid and loud—and Luka, who always rolled his eyes at anything that sounded like “fun,” had blinked once at the word bar and gone, “Fine. Just one drink.”
Now, Ivan was regretting not filming that first drink go down, because somewhere between “just one drink,” and Luka tipping his fourth shot glass over with a flushed giggle, Ivan had realised two things:
1. Luka was a lightweight.
2. He had no idea how to act when he wasn’t pretending to be all doll-like and poised.

Summary
Hyuna had barely been at the bar for an hour and she already regretted showing up.
She doesn’t even remember how she let Ivan talk her into coming out tonight. Something about it being a celebration, something about “you need to go outside before you get reported as a missing person,” and the guilt that came with the knowledge that she had been avoiding everyone lately.
She hadn’t known Luka would be here.
is it so wrong to threaten your own safety and wellbeing to get your ex to talk to you again? (yes, but luka doesn’t seem to think so, much to hyuna’s dismay)

Summary
“Where would we have gone, anyway?” Till is unable not to ask. The desert comes with a sky that’s all but fake; framed by the sharp corners of the vehicle is an endless sea of bright scarlet, scarred and stitched up by falling tears of gold and swirling nebulas. Till remembers running. In that hallucinating haze, he cannot phantom a good enough reason to dig his heels in and stop. “We pass that glitch in the gates to get out, and we run — and then what?”
Ivan hums. His clothes are a confusing bundle — the too-long pants from the Garden, the rain-soaked jacket from the stage. His fringe is scarlet wet, plastered against his forehead.
“Who knows,” he offers.
or: Till leaves Round 7 on his own feet. The rest is consequential.

Summary
“Woow, so many people showed up.”
That’s what you’d say at a birthday party, or a fundraiser, or even a school festival. Till would even expect to hear something like that from a class that decided to put on a play, right before they go on stage. Any scenario he comes up with is all in the range of celebratory but attendance non-mandatory, and sometimes not even expected.
He hears it, instead, from Ivan, right outside of his own funeral hall.

Summary
Hyuna doesn’t take thralls the way many vampires do, Luka has learned, over his months with her; she doesn’t care whether her prey is willing or unwilling, only that they are free. He’s discomfiting, then, for her—his habitual, half-forgotten willingness.
