Summary
Jake hasn't been himself in forever. At least, that's what the squad thinks. Are they worrying over nothing or is Jake hiding something?
I'm going to try to post every Saturday (the first one is going to be on a Friday though), but I have a very busy life and can make no promises.
This takes place sometime after 7x06 (Trying). Everything from the beginning of the story on is an alternate timeline, but no past events have been changed.

“It wasn’t my fault,” Tony defends. “That Spider-Guy never knows when to shut up. He distracted me.”
“Your reputation took a blow,” Pepper tells him. “Which will be fixed, of course. I’ve already set it up.”
“Set what up? What, am I going to make flower arrangements with the elderly?”
Pepper slides a piece of paper towards him. “Try an orphan. His name is Peter Parker. His biggest dream is to meet you. But…” She hesitates.
“But?”
“Apparently he doesn’t talk much. Sometimes not at all. Trauma-related.”
“A smart kid who doesn’t talk? Perfect combination. If only all my employees were like that.”

Peter is living at the Avengers' compound while his aunt is on a trip for work. His AP Physics class gets a chance to go on a trip to the compound when the Avengers find out what ends will they go to make sure that Peter doesn't come out unembarrassed?

Tony didn’t go out every night.
He had responsibilities; a company to run, technological marvels to build, blah blah blah. And most of the time he took on those responsibilities without complaint, despite what some tabloids may have say about that. He was not a wild, party-going, man-child with far too much money to spend on his every whim.
Most of the time.
It was just that some days he needed to shrug off the weight that came with heading a billion dollar company. So sue him! He was allowed to relax every now and again, and when he did... well, he really relaxed.
And so, on The Night That Changed Everything, he hadn’t been looking for anything other than a couple of glasses (or bottles) of excellent whisky, and maybe a companion or two with whom he could spend the night.
In the end, what he got was so much better.
