It’s a heavy question, one which Ayato has never allowed himself to think about. Thinking leads to fantasies, after all, and fantasies lead to hope. There’s no point in hoping. He knows this.
So he swallows and says, “Of course I do.”
Ayato sets up a marriage between Ayaka and Thoma as children. Of course he eventually comes to regret this.

“Do you want to?” he heard Aether ask close to his ear. He blinked, trying to punch through the weary haze in his brain.
“What?”
“Dance, I mean.” Aether’s face was just the faintest bit redder than usual. “You said you’d done it before.”
“When did I say that?” Albedo murmured, gaze flicking between the various slow-dancing couples.
Aether took his hand, carefully watching his expression for signs of discomfort, and placed another just above his waist. “I take it I should lead, then.”
OR
Aether asks Albedo to pretend to be in a romantic relationship with him in order to avoid embarrassment at Ningguang and Beidou's wedding. However, beneath the surface of the festivities, something ominous appears to be taking shape.
