Summary
It was like the world completely stopped. The slight static noise on the other side of the phone disappeared, the leaves on the tree outside the window stood still all of a sudden, Mafuyu ceased breathing, even Kedama stopped tapping around the kitchen and just stared up at his owner.Cancer. A terminal illness. An illness that, if not treated well and soon enough, would end up leading to Uenoyama’s death and rip Mafuyu away from the person he loved most, pushing him back into the dark hole that he had struggled to climb out of all those months ago.
Booked for gig after gig, and a debut offer within their reach, a successful music career seemed to be the next stop in Uenoyama's future. At least, it was supposed to be, if fate didn't have something else in store for him.
Or, in a cruel twist of fate, Mafuyu is about to lose everything all over again, just when it seemed like he was safe from it.

Hiiragi hummed. "Fair point, but I want to. Now. I mean, come on, we didn’t get to do any couple things in so long," he whined, dragging out the ‘so’. "And parks are romantic."
Shizusumi raised his eyebrows. "I can imagine more romantic situations than being at a place with nothing to do when it’s thirty degrees Celsius in the shadow."
Hiiragi and Shizusumi spend their day off from the band to go on a date.

Summary

A simple concept, really, but it fit Mafuyu and Yuki as they spend Christmas together. It might also be the most fitting perception of their relationship, Mafuyu found.

He should have expected that. Maybe Yuki simply wasn't in the mood to check who was at the door at this time of the day. Maybe he actually wasn’t home for some reason. Perhaps it was the rejection Mafuyu had feared, that Yuki doesn't want to see him. But he knew that if he turned around now, all the courage he gathered would disappear into thin air, leaving him where he was two days ago.
Mafuyu goes over to Yuki's house to apologize.

Summary
It's like they had a silent mutual agreement; Yuki would reach for Mafuyu's hand and Mafuyu would stretch his hand as much as needed for the other to grab it. Everyone around them got used to it, more or less without questioning it. Yuki and Mafuyu just held hands, that's all there was to it.
