Summary
Stiles had been like any other kid growing up in the era of dragons. He'd watched the cartoons, the news stories, had the lunch box. When his screening at Beacon Hills High had come up negative, he'd been disappointed but unsurprised. His positive results were returned three years too late for it to be in any way convenient or cool.
Or, the one where they ride dragons.

Summary
It's an unbelievable sort of deal when it comes forward, to share one secret every Thursday on Derek's part in an effort to trust someone new, to trust Stiles; on three conditions, their conversations stay between them, if Derek shares everything so does Stiles, and lastly, Stiles doesn't get to fall in love with Derek. Needless to say, almost neither of those work out.
Or
“If I tell you-” Derek was saying, barely audible. “-do you promise to keep it to yourself?”
“Tell...tell me what?”
“Everything,” Derek turned. All the anger had melted away, leaving something unpleasant there on his human features, that spoke of trepidation and regret, of giving up. “If I...” the words hitched and paused. “If I trust you...” Stiles heart sort of sank and stopped at the words, the gravity of them and the vulnerability Derek was trying to hide and failing stitched at the edge of them. “Do you promise to keep that trust?”
It was a stupid thing, something unreasonable and impractical, to ask such a question. There was no real assurance that the truth would be offered in reply and yet everything in Stiles felt compelled to say it. “Yes.”

Summary
Talia lets out a shocked gasp, "your eyes. They're purple." The Alpha is practically oozing with excitement.
Stiles hisses, as the fingers touching the Nemeton start to sting as markings etch themselves into his knuckles and a small one on his wrist that looks like a Y but the stem goes up between the v part. "What the-?" Stiles yells out in pain, yanking his hand off the bark, the back of his left forearm feeling like it's been set on fire. A white fox with vibrant blue eyes burns into his flesh. "Mom?" He asks again, she died when he was young, but the Omega remembers what she looked like fully shifted. The spitting image of the tattoo forming on his skin. "What's happening?" Frantic eyes meet Talia's and Derek's.
"You're a spark." Talia whispers in wonder. "You have magic, Stiles."OR
Stiles moves in with the Hales after his father passes away. Presenting as an Omega and then a spark years later. He's hopelessly head over heels for Derek and wants to be his mate, but it almost certain the Alpha doesn't feel the same way about him so he says nothing and pines from a distance. Talia asks if Stiles would like to train to be an emissary to the Hale pack and Stiles agrees.

Summary
After the fire, Derek takes over the seat of King of the Hale Kingdom and finds himself navigating through kingship with the help of an unconventional companion. A knight with flailing limbs and moderate fighting abilities, but a sharp mind and a sharper tongue that isn't afraid to call him out. It's all downhill from there.
OR
No one was allowed to touch a royal, let alone the king without their explicit permission. No one was allowed to talk to royals until they instigated conversation first, let alone the king! Yet this young man, dressed in the typical armor colored in silver, black and red, triskelion placed in bold lines at the center-front of his chest, silver chain-mail draped over the shoulder pads, sword hanging by his side a little lopsided was holding his hand with a wide smile.
