It always seems simple beforehand.
Always.
That's what Miya Atsumu quickly learns in life. Climbing the oak tree in his backyard with Osamu seemed simple until he fell out of the tree (from one branch higher than Samu) and broke his arm. Getting along with the kids in school seemed simple until one of them asked Atsumu how to tell him apart from his brother and he can't help but ask back how much of an idiot do you have to be to confuse grey and brown eyes. Coming out as bisexual seemed simple enough until he tried it.

But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
