Summary
Lonely and out of place on the Normandy, Samantha's attempt to get over one Alliance officer by seeking comfort in another unearths buried truths, and not just her own. In chess, she might call it a discovered attack. In reality, it's an astounding amount of sex and an endgame that she could have, but did not anticipate.
Think six moves ahead, the wisdom goes. But in a losing war against an unbeatable adversary, it's time to embrace what, or who, is before her, and think no further than that.

Summary
Squad done and dusted, mom in palliative care: Garrus is on the brink. Patched together from scrap with all systems in overdrive, Shepard's no better.
They're still clocked in. Have to be. Thing is, you can't keep running on empty. The indicator's flashing red, and ignoring it only works until it doesn't.
[Formerly titled "Enough," for reasons lost to time.]

Summary
“The Angel of the Eastern Gate.” Crawly grins. “What’s your name, anyway? You never said.”
“Oh...” Apologies, Aziraphael almost says, but then he doesn’t. That would be taking things a bit too far. This is still the Enemy. “Aziraphael.”
“Aziraphael,” repeats Crawly—or tries to, because halfway through the word he chokes. Quite badly.
Or: What if Aziraphale’s name was originally "Aziraphael", in keeping with the conventional spelling and pronunciation of angel names, but because of its divine nature Crowley is physically unable to say it out loud.
