Ei turns to her. The wind rushes out over the grassy fields, over the bubbling creek, and she can smell sakura. Meeting Yae’s eyes is a simple task, but keeping her gaze steady is harder than confronting her own weakness.
Post Chapter III: Act III (contains mild spoilers): and is it easy to learn to love again, to relearn the shape of your lover's face, the sun in their eyes and sparkle in their smile? ei isn't certain, but her heart, maybe, wants to try.

As the God of Eternity, it is her divine duty to remember every single one of her friends, followers and enemies, to become the shrine that housed countless names and wishes; even if their names and contribution become lost to time, as long as the Immortal Shogun lives, then they would be remembered for eternity. They don’t need to fear being forgotten, for she is the living proof that they once existed.
Thus, it shouldn't be a surprise that none is as burdened and haunted by the past as the Raiden Shogun.
