Summary
Buck broke the silence. “You know, this reminds me of a Greek myth I learned back when Chris was learning Ancient Greece in school.”
“Oh yeah? Which one?” Eddie couldn't fathom how anything regarding their current situation could call back to any myth, but Buck tended to use talking about random things he learned to distract himself in stressful situations, so Eddie indulged it. He liked listening to Bucks rambles anyways.
“Orpheus and Eurydice.” Eddie hummed in acknowledgment, but didn’t say anything, and Buck used this as an excuse to continue. “Basically Orpheus and Eurydice were in love, but after their wedding she ended up dying. Orpheus is so grief stricken he decides to go to the Underworld to save her.”
