He’s unsure if it’s because of the comfort Tifa offers with her insistence; or maybe it’s because of how she squeezes his hand tightly like she understands too well his pain—or it might just be because it’s Tifa, and he’s loved her forever. But at the end of it all, it doesn’t matter why—it only matters that he surrenders to the craving for that comfort and that understanding and her, always her her her.

    Cloud twists his hand so he can hold hers as he says, “Stay with me. Please.”
