“Sanji.” And there’s something sickening, something tender about the way Zoro says his name — and it’s with a start that Sanji realizes that Zoro has never called his name before. Zoro turns to face him, face etched with concern and hurt and pain and he says, “Just stop.”
It’s hopeless, it’s useless, he’s gone now, Zoro seems to say and that fragile hope shatters inside Sanji’s chest. It splinters and pierces his organs and the tears roll down Sanji’s cheeks.
“I just want them to come home.” Sanji says, and something on Zoro’s face cracks.

Or, my friend prompted me to turn this tweet about someone mistaking a bouquet of peonies for a bouquet of garlic into ZoSan. Or, obviously, I think Zoro would know what garlic is... Maybe. Or, Sanji can't tell if Zoro is messing with him or not, but either way, he'd like to kiss him.

It's Zoro's birthday today!!! So I had to write something for it!!

Sanji lights the cigarette hanging from his lips. Unless the moron didn’t want them to know. It’d be just like him to see something like a birthday as unimportant or being embarrassed by the attention. He shifts his weight from foot to foot as he takes a few drags, reading the warm message sent by the bounty hunters, telling him to buy a drink on them with the berri enclosed. Clearly, he had told them about the day, had celebrated it at least once before with them.Sanji slams his fist angrily on the counter, not quite sure where the emotion comes from, but screw the Marimo. He isn’t getting out of celebrating his birthday just because he thinks it’s above him. He’s sorely mistaken if he thinks he’ll avoid Sanji’s wrath when it comes to making a birthday dinner.

The words all but purr from his lips, and now Zoro definitely is imagining something else, although not clearly. There’s flashes of breath, of pale expanses of skin, of Sanji’s hair beneath his fingers. There’s an unbearable warmth in his chest, simmering and molten, spreading. There's definitely a deep red blush scratching across his cheeks. Blood blooms along his skin, paints it. But not in the usual way.

Or, Zoro just can't seem to stay away from the kitchen. Or, between Zoro and Sanji there is always something magnetic. Or, finally—a kiss.

“Hrmmmm.” Sanji draws the sound out long, lets it meander and spiral, enjoys the creation of it, the vibration of it, before he wanders forward again, leans into Zoro’s space, a lithe, languid figure, an apparition of light. His breath dances around Zoro’s neck, and calmly, Zoro only takes another drink. He works to keep the beats of his exhales measured even as the input into the reflex arcs of his skin threatens to have them stumbling around. He honestly deserves some kind of medal for that.
He’s not drunk on drink. But he might be drunk on Sanji.
