angsty cottagecore wolfstar raising harry fic is a recipe for disaster (and by disaster i mean the most amazing fic i've ever read). i read this fic even before i had an ao3 account, and re-read it over and over again. the fic deserves all the love. how we are never able to truly let go of the people we've loved and who's done us wrong, how we try to survive despite everything, how we love, grieve and try to move on and fail. this story is also special because harry finally has the childhood he deserved, unlike the abuse he faced in cannon, remus is the father that STEPPED UP!!! finally. and obviously... my darling sirius getting a fair trial against all odds, full circle moment.

this fic carved itself into my soul, forever there. i loved how i could feel this fic with all my five senses; sound of andrew’s tunes on the guitar, the feeling of neil’s tongue piercing, smell of pickles, taste of frozen tomato soup and the sight of every single shade of blue in neil’s eyes all too vivid like i was the one living it all. their trip to Europe felt like a dreamy interlude to every conflict that’s about to happen, neil’s anger to andrew’s abandonment. and of course, the eerie feeling andrew (and we all) felt up until nathan’s death, writing so horror movie-esque it kept me on my toes. as always andrew to neil is moth to flame, in every universe their love so great and so tragic it brings Shakespeare to shame.
