"Have I ever not indulged you?" Mydei tries, huffing. It eases his nerves, if only marginally. "Aren't the others always on my case about indulging you too much?" He wets his lips, a shuddering sigh escaping him as he rocks his hips forward, the flushed tip of his length ghosting over the tender stretch of the narrow fissure.
"There's only one thing that I'll stop for," He reminds him knowingly—it's not a question, but still Phainon feels the need to enforce that he knows the answer.
"Me."
"You," Mydei acquiesces, and he takes a long, deep breath.
There isn't a single part of Phainon that Mydei doesn't want to indulge in.

"No." The extremes of agony were the first thing Mydei had gotten used to in the times of his earliest memories. The freezing waters of the Sea of Souls had not been kind – bitter and unrelenting towards the frail body of a child abandoned in their torrents, viciously demanding his endurance until numbness settled upon him like a makeshift haven. There were no shores for him to drift to, no blankets waiting there to swaddle him up with.
He had to be his own hearth to drift towards, his own flame to chase.
Rarely did Mydei ever take off his gauntlets, keeping them on even in the baths.
It was a habit he had developed after settling in Okhema. Which meant no one had ever really seen his bare hands.
Phainon gradually weans him out of it.
