“I like this, Will,” Mike thinks aloud.
“What, the afternoon? I think I prefer evenings, personally.” Will gives a last ditch at brushing off the tension they’ve created, wonders if he ignores it that Mike may move on and they can both avoid the drama this will inevitably cause.
Mike leans over and nudges Will on the side of his ribs. “This. Being with you.”
Will sighs. “Yeah?”
“Being alone with you. More specifically,” He clarifies.
It’s 1800s Regency-Era England, and what began as Will’s earnest mission to support his sister soon spirals into a tangled web of unspoken feelings and societal pressures all because of one Lord Michael Wheeler.

Summary
Will raised an eyebrow at his friend's antics, then dropped his eyes to where he knew Dustin had reached a hand out towards him.
“This summer, we stick together. You and me, Byers.”
Will grinned, taking Dustin’s hand and shaking it. “You and me, Henderson.”
A rewrite of S3:
The night Dustin gets back from Camp Knowhere, he brings the Party up to the highest point in Hawkins to set up Cerebro. He thought that his friends would be excited to have him back-- even if it wasn't the most entertaining to sit on a hill and talk into a radio with no response, he thought they would at least wait for him before going home. He thought it was going to be the best summer ever.
Instead, he finds himself and the one friend that didn't leave him, Will Byers, intercepting a weird Russian transmission.
And, well... if he couldn't have the best summer ever, at least he and Will would have an eventful one.

Summary
“Are you okay Mike?” Will enquires with the exact same expression that his mom had just minutes before.
“What’re you drawing?” Mike asks instead, because even though he had cycled all the way here, and gone over so many different ways of saying it all, now that he is sat here, everything in his head rapidly topples back out of it. He motions at the discarded sketchbook.
Will holds his gaze for one second and then another. “Oh nothing. What did you want to talk to me about?”
“Can I see?” Mike says, again doing what he does best, avoiding.
OR- Mike comes out to Nancy, and then inevitably comes out to Will.

“You’re really into this girl, huh?” No, no, no. Steve of all people could not be looking at him with that kind of wonder, like a proud dad. He already had one older sibling and another future older-sibling-in-law. He was all set, thank you very much.
Still, he couldn’t deny it. And Will was in the room, so he couldn’t help himself from saying something meant just for him. “We’re crazy about each other.”
