Summary
Two months of long-distance has turned Mike and Will’s letters into a lifeline. But when Jane accidentally mails a letter containing Will’s private fantasies, the distance between Hawkins and Lenora officially catches fire.
What follows is an escalation of provocative Polaroids, a "ruined" letter, and an oversized Hellfire shirt that smells like home. Across a 1,500-mile phone line, the metaphors of "cleric and paladin" are finally stripped away, replaced by raw hunger and a promise: when Mike gets to California, he’s going to mark every inch of Will's skin.

Summary
Mike doesn’t mean to look, he never does. But today his eyes kept drifting, dragging to every inch of Will as if they’re led by something low and ugly and needy. Mike thinks it's because he spent all of today by Will’s side, just the two of them while the rest of the party was busy, but he knows it's more than just that. It's been building up, and he feels gross and worn down from the constant battle he has against himself.
But Will…Will looks lighter. He eats absentmindedly, talks with his hands and smiles a large grin that shifts his mole. Sometimes it feels like something heavy was cut away from him cleanly and all that remains is a neat, closed stitch, without an infection.
Mike hates how obvious it feels by comparison.

Summary
Growing up there never was a reason not to worry. Interdimensional monsters, possessions, deaths of loved ones, and trauma of a lifetime argues against a normal life. Every single day of their lives, even after these long years of silence, are laced with an unforgettable dread. Somewhere between fighting for their lives, killing and rescuing, then picking themselves up, they all lost hold of the understanding of who they were. Or so Mike wants to believe. Because the Sorcerer may have been his husband but the illusion of happiness and safety that they live in now, is all Mike’s creation.
Or Mike Wheeler, now in his thirties, married to the love of his life, his best friend Will Byers, isn't as sane and sweet as he appears to be. Something is wrong, very wrong and nobody has any idea about it. The war from past has left an imprint on Mike's conscience and he has taken up the worst way possible to deal with it. He finds it efficient, knows it's wrong but he is humane about it. Or so he thinks. He believes it's not his fault, that it's the circumstances, but his memories seem to be warped into it.
Is it really the trauma? or simply...Mike himself.
