Summary
Stiles arrives in New York City and immediately figures out that he is the very definition of a wide-eyed, gullible college student 'right off the boat' when it turns out his apartment was a con. He doesn't really have anywhere to live or the spare money to get a hotel room. Luckily (or unluckily) his dad and Talia Hale are friends and her son Derek lives in Manhattan.

Summary
Stiles falls through the floor in the Hale house and wakes up in Beacon Hills, 2005. The first time he stops Kate from interacting with Derek it's (more or less) an accident.
Every subsequent time isn't.
Derek has no idea who Stiles is, and Stiles would like to keep it that way... only, he's not exactly inconspicuous while following Derek around, now is he?

Crouching down in front of him, Derek tilted his head, eyes raking over Stiles’ face, unfazed by the death glare he was receiving in return. “I really hope your father cooperates, Stiles. I don’t want to have to hurt you.”
Stiles scoffed in disbelief; that almost sounded sincere. "Oh right, like I'm gonna believe the mafia boss gives a shit what happens to the Sheriff's kid."
His heart was pounding in his chest beneath his false bravado, so loud he was sure even Derek could hear it.
Derek reached out as he spoke next, cupping Stiles’ chin in his hand. “Well it would certainly be a shame to ruin such a pretty face.” His eyes bored into Stiles’, heat rising in Stiles’ bones.
