Summary
Three years ago, a Civil War split the Avengers in half. At the end of the ordeal, trust was gone, and the Avengers were broken, seemingly damaged beyond repair. But Tony once again managed to do what he does best: he took what little was left of the team that Steve Rogers had destroyed and turned them into something much better than before.
Now, the Avengers are stronger than ever. Tony has made new friends along the way, and he even managed to build himself a family. Things are good.
But the peace was bound to end. A new threat looms over the entire Universe, and nobody is ready to face it.

Summary
Escaping Asgard and the horrors dealt there is no easy task, and doing so comes at a price. Loki falls to Earth broken and blinded, rendered helpless in a city he can neither see nor begin to understand with enemies on all sides.
Worse than that is a far greater emptiness in his veins—a missing piece of him that should have been impossible to take, yet was rent from his body anyway—and something cardice-cold lurking in the darkest corners of his mind.
The trickster doesn't break easily, though, and he's always been a survivor.

Summary
Having successfully removed themselves from Asgard, Tony and Loki are now faced with a whole new challenge: trying to navigate life within the boundaries of a normal(ish) relationship on Earth. It's not made any easier by the fact that uninvited Avengers keep showing up for superhero shenanigans, or that maybe things aren't quite as perfect as Tony keeps pretending they are. And it's really not made any easier by some dumb a-hole named Aldrich Killian trying to rule the world, followed by some dumber a-hole named Malekith trying to destroy it. (What is it with these damn villains always getting all up in the world's business anyway?)
