“What do you want from me, Izuku?” Katsuki asks, voice smaller than he’d like it to be, unsteady. “Why did you come here?”
“I—I wanted to see Kacchan.”
“You saw him. Here he is.”
Katsuki swings his free arm in a wide arc. Izuku’s eyes follow it. From the kitchen, to the All Might poster on the wall, to the UA graduation picture of him and Izuku smiling under the cherry blossoms that sits in a small frame on his bookshelf. There are more things he hasn’t bothered to unpack yet, gathering dust in cardboard boxes in the back of his closet. These were the most important. Katsuki has to be careful about where he puts his limited energy these days.
Or, Katsuki plans to spend his Christmas Eve by himself. It doesn’t quite go that way.

“Ah. Y—yeah. I’m fine! Was just lost in thought.” He hopes Ochako can’t see through the fake ass smile he plasters on. Truthfully, he wants to break down and cry and punch Kaminari in the face for making him feel like such a jealous idiot. He wants to punch Katsuki in the face because he just keeps letting him get too close for Izuku’s comfort. And he wants to punch himself in the face for letting such an ugly thing like jealousy cloud his mind in the first place.
All in all, he’s feeling pretty shitty. Ochako doesn’t need to know that though. So he lays it on extra thick, smiling wider. “Let’s go sit down.”
or;
Izuku gets jealous of how close Kaminari is so Katsuki. He learns that he doesn't need to be.

Summary
Izuku closes the app entirely, opening his photos to find something to distract his racing mind. There’s a few pictures of himself and Ochako together, clicking one he smiles at their zoomed in faces squished together cheek to cheek. He swipes to the next selfie, feeling his heartbeat calming and his anxiety lessening as he forces himself to remember how happy he was in each one. Again, he moves on to the next picture. A shaky shot of Ochako, drinking from a glass stacked comically high with swirls of whipped cream.
His phone buzzes, a message notification popping up at the top of his screen with Kacchan’s name across it. He’s opening it before he can think to regret it–hands shaking.
Kacchan: Can’t this weekend. Taking Eijirou mountain climbing.
Kacchan: Maybe next time.
He breaks his phone.
Or,
Izuku has the suit, he's courting Ochako finally, and he has a career he loves. He's happy, isn't he?
So why does it bother him so much when he finds out his childhood friend is courting Kirishima, and why can't he get Kacchan's scent out of his head?
