“I don’t like that you lied to him,” Wallace said. His voice was low, his eyes were trained on Scott.
“He’s not ready,” Scott finally answered Wallace after a long time of consideration.
“You say that like you’re trying to teach him an ancient form of magical martial arts, Scott,” he responded, turning back to face the other, glass in hand. “He’s going to find out sooner or later. It’s his future.”
“It’s not that and you know it,” Scott said. “If I found out about this when I was younger, my head would explode!”
