Trish felt a knot at her throat. Even if she would’ve not passed the selection, she would never have forgotten the words that Bucciarati had addressed to her. Feeling her value recognized was amazing, something she had pursued for years and, now, she had finally received.

“I… I wanna open a restaurant,” Narancia says. “A really good restaurant! But shit’s expensive, and I don’t just want Giorno to pay for it all, so…”
A restaurant. The simplicity of it throws her, for a second—but she remembers the afternoon that Giorno had gone with Fugo and Abbacchio to Pompeii, and the rest of them had stayed behind in the safehouse by the vineyard, and after an hour or so she’d heard Narancia banging around in the kitchen, throwing together something with spaghetti and garlic and anchovies. She remembers the song he’d been humming, off-key. La varca mia, Santa Lucia.
She remembers so much more of Narancia—so much more of that fistful of days of hiding and running and hating—than she wants to. Even today. Even now.
“Or,” she says, “you could come on tour with me. My bodyguard just quit. Like, this morning.”

Summary
Narancia doesn't think that he's ever felt it more than he does right then, laughing stupidly on the floor of Trish's house with all the lights off, so while he's laughing he lets himself feel it until he says it: “I love you, Trish.”
Trish stops laughing. Maybe she hadn't heard him. He says it again, just in case, just because.
“Trish, I love you,” he mumbles, slinging an arm across his face and smiling into it, so wide and helpless that it might hurt a little. “I love you.”
In which Narancia says something true, and many things follow. Or: under the influence of cheap prosecco, Narancia tells Trish that he loves her. The thing is, this isn’t something that Trish exactly knew.

Narancia reaches up to scratch the back of his head with one hand and frowns at the wall.
“No—well, not in a long time,” he says. He turns his head in until he’s talking into his shoulder. “I’m not any good.”
The last part comes out in a mumble, but Trish still hears it. There’s very little Narancia could say, she thinks sometimes, that she wouldn’t find a way to hear.
A few years after, Narancia gives Trish an unexpected gift.

Summary
Mista believes in living without regrets. They just complicate things, and life’s too big to get hung up on stuff that’s already happened. That said, he does have some. Three, actually. The first one is letting that kid on his street buy a kitten from a litter of four. The second one is letting Abbacchio and Narancia die, which is moot because Giorno just brought them back anyway, but if Giorno hadn’t then Mista definitely would’ve regretted letting Abbacchio and Narancia die. But maybe that one doesn’t count.
Anyway, the third one is inviting Trish over a couple months ago to make her watch Pretty Woman, getting smashed on cheap prosecco, and telling her that he wanted to get with Giorno. Wants to get with Giorno. Has wanted to get with Giorno. His boss, who the caporegimi like to call the Boy King of Passione. For like three entire, terrible years.
Mista has a problem. The problem is love.
