Summary
Zoro watches the flames dance as he sips at the dregs in his waterskin. Beside him, his charge sleeps soundly, her breaths deep and slow and even. She’s sprawled out over her bedroll, one hand up by her face and the other over her chest, just beneath the swell of her breasts. Her long hair is tied back in a loose braid, flyaway strands stuck to the slight sheen of sweat covering her brow from the humid temperature of these lands.
She looks every bit the delicate damsel her father had touted her to be: hair like a crown of silken sunshine and skin so fair it looks like porcelain, easy to bruise.
