“You just played bestie-bestie with me for what?” His voice came low, sharp with disbelief. “Business? Was that the only reason you became friends with me, hyung?”
Minho blinked, his expression faltering for the first time. His mouth opened slightly, stunned, as though the accusation knocked the air out of him. “What? Baby, no—”
“Then what, hyung?” Seungmin cut in, his words fast and uneven. “It would’ve been better that way, wouldn’t it? At least business partners can’t be strangers.”
“Seungmin,” Minho’s voice dropped, almost pleading, “that’s not true—”
“Really?” Seungmin stepped forward now, the space between them shrinking to nothing. His voice was trembling but he didn’t back down. “Then what is true, hyung? Because from where I’m standing, all I know is I’m being signed off into a billion-dollar merger with you, and no one had the decency to tell me.”
