A second chance.
She supposed that’s what it was. Nothing changed, really. She still talked to the same people, said the same things, fought the same fights… she knew it was wrong to complain. Coming back after dying should’ve felt like a miracle, and sometimes, it really did. She supposed everything had a downside, though. It would all have to end eventually.
She remembered how her story began, and how it ended. Igor’s sentiment rang true in her head. Memento Mori: Remember that you will die.

Okay. Time to order. That’s what normal people did. Order something.
Her eyes dart to the board. Words she doesn’t speak live up there. Cappuccino. Macchiato. Americano. Americano? Did it look like they were in America? She should ask. But her pride is gnawing and ridiculous and it claws at her throat. She doesn’t want to be taught. Not by him. Not right now.
“Just… plain coffee!” she says.
His eyebrow raises slightly. “Drip?”
She doesn’t know what that means. She decides it means yes. “Mm.”

Summary

Souji is certain that she knows something, though he isn't quite sure what. As the investigation conflicts with his desire to learn more about this strange girl with the too red eyes and the face made for smiling, Souji begins to question how much he actually knows about being the Wild Card. Along with her surly, suspicious, beanie-wearing companion, Minako seems to be running an investigation of her own, aiding and abetting Souji and his friends along the way. The Investigation Team is wary of these new players and their agenda; especially Yosuke, who begins to wonder just what he wants from his partner.
