Louis scoffs. “Pretty sure if it needs that much spicing…” He uses his fingers to put air quotes around the last word. “Then your relationship is already doomed.”
Harry clicks his tongue disdainfully. “Of course you’re not mature enough to understand something so evolved. You probably wouldn’t last three dates.”
(Or the one where Louis and Harry are frenemies, but a slightly tipsy bet has them doing a challenge that involves going on twenty-six consecutive dates leading up to Christmas Day. Will they kill each other, or find out they have more in common than they thought?)

Summary

Harry is clumsy, he has survived the last six years since the outbreak on sheer luck, luck that will have him stumbling right into Louis trap, the grumpiest man left alive.

“He saved my life. So maybe lay off him, yeah?” He turned to stare at Zayn.
“Well fuck me,” he replied, and Louis wanted to wipe that smug fucking shit eating grin right off his face.
“Don’t,” Louis said far too quickly to be passed off as nothing.
“That explains the mood,” Zayn went on, “and the murder eyes.”
“I always have murder eyes.”
“Yeah,” Zayn said, nodding. “But these are protective murder eyes. You have feelings for him don't you?”
Louis shot him a warning look. “I mean it, Zayn.”
“You do.” He tipped his head back and laughed. “Oh this is gold. Big hard Tomlinson, hates everyone, fell in love with the first pretty, curly-haired, green-eyed klutz to walk through.”

Louis arches an eyebrow. “You should,” he says. “Seeing as you’ve booked the room for a whole two months. I briefly assumed you might be a serial killer looking for somewhere quiet to bury the bodies.”
Harry snorts. “I could still be a serial killer, you know. You’ve just completely ruined my element of surprise.”
Or- Global phenomenon Harry Styles just needs a place to hide for a few months; instead he gets a charming inn owner named Louis who treats banter like a love language, locals who might be running a small cult (jury’s still out), and a sheep named Bernard who adopts him as his emotional support human. Harry came to disappear, but instead acquires chaos, increasingly unhinged drama, and the deeply inconvenient problem of falling in love.
Or- a rom-com in a chaotic small town.
