There's only one bed. Sage can't sleep. Reyna proposes a "5 minutes, no consequences" rule, where they are allowed to touch, kiss, do anything they want with each other, but after the 5 minutes? No one can talk about it. No consequences. Never happened.Sage thinks it's relief. It's not.

Promise me you won’t go on any more missions until you’re better?”

When she had first gained her powers, she had sometimes encased her skin in the jade crystals when creating her slowing orbs, but they usually disappeared when she brushed them off. This time, as her fingers touched the familiar crystals, they didn’t crack and crumble off.
OR
EGO inspired Sage fic where she discovers that reviving the people she loves doesn't come without a cost. And I sprinkled some tiny bit of Reyge in there, cuz hehe.

Summary
Her voice is soft in Sage’s ear above the background noise of the fireworks and chatter. Her words are only for Sage, her heart the same. “The world waits for you until tomorrow. Don’t waste the night, hermosa. Nothing exploded as of now. That is plenty for me to drink to.” Reyna proceeds to wave her hand in dismissal as she leans back and Sage sighs. Upon seeing Sage's distrust written plainly across her face, Reyna continues. “For one night, put your trust in me. Enjoy a drink and relax. Forget the rest of the world in need.”
Sage is left considering Reyna’s kind words. She has a good point, although the ache of guilt lingering in Sage’s chest doesn’t entirely fade. “I guess one night cannot be too awful to indulge in…”

Reyna grinned and sauntered past Sage.
"I've told you before, corazón: we're the perfect pair."OR: After a failed mission, Sage realizes how dark and monotonous her days at the Protocol have become. Although the two agents have never developed more than a strict working relationship, she talks to Reyna about it, and Reyna surprisingly tries to help. What Sage doesn't realize is that soon after, Reyna will be the one to light up her life again as the two women get to know each other better.
